Many collectors set aside many watch brands and ultimately keep them in low regard. Collectors usually look to own the Rolls Royce or Cadillac of watches but it takes a true connoisseur to enjoy and appreciate the common man’s watch, even though the watch here before you is no common man's watch. Here at Tony’s Timepieces we are very proudly offering one of the rarest and greatest Timex watches ever created, a vintage 1950s Timex Demonstrator Watch. Between 1957 and 1959 Timex created a mere 400 of these watches at the advent of Timex’s famous Marlin series, which was the first waterproof Timex. The watches were all built at the Little Rock, Arkansas factory. The Timex Demonstrators were not at all available to the general public or for anyone except for Timex’s traveling salesman and television commercials. This watch is probably one of the greatest examples in the world. The stainless steel case is in near perfect condition with no deep scratches or dings. Only very few barely visible light scratches. The untouched dial is amazing with superb numerals and letters. The movement is clean and is the original timex movement, and is running fine and keeps great time. The watch is 3.5 cm wide including the crown and is 4 cm “lug to lug”. The watch has been fitted with a new 17mm black leather band with a stainless steel buckle to match the case. Overall this watch is suburb and would make an excellent and significant addition to anyone's collection.
