Out of all American watch manufacturers, Hamilton is remembered as one of the greatest. At their former factory in Lancaster PA they have made some fantastic watches which some we are lucky enough to have here at Tony’s Timepieces. Shown before you is a fine example of an original 1948 first generation Hamilton Nordon CLD. This watch has been fitted with a new 16mm leather strap with a gold finished buckle, to match the beautiful 10k gold filled case. The original case is in great condition which is in the bubble back fashion. There are no deep scratches or dings on the case, only a few light scratches on the back. The case shines and you can see your reflection. The dial is in great clean condition, it was probably redone some time in the past. The hands and numerals are definitely original and are in great shape. The 748 18 jewel movement is totally original and is very clean and runs strong and well. The watch winds very smoothly. This fantastic watch would be a great addition to anyone's collection!
